An investigative reconstruction of the competing accounts surrounding Nigeria’s most combustible rap feud — and why the real story may now have to be settled in court rather than on social media.
The feud between Nigerian rappers BlaqBonez and Odumodublvck has long been presented to the public as another episode in the theatrical rivalry that defines hip-hop.
But the latest disclosures have changed the character of the dispute.
What BlaqBonez described in an approximately 78-minute interview with journalist Rufai Oseni on Nevon HQ was not simply a disagreement between two rappers. His account described a relationship involving a woman, accusations of sexual misconduct, alleged harassment, attempts to interfere with performances, police interventions, threats, physical confrontations and, eventually, a multimillion-naira legal battle.
There is, however, another side.
The woman at the centre of the dispute has publicly rejected important parts of BlaqBonez's account and has herself accused him of harassment, cyberstalking, threats and the non-consensual circulation of private material. Odumodublvck has repeatedly maintained his sexual-abuse allegations against BlaqBonez and says the matter belongs in court.
That distinction is crucial.
Much of what follows consists of allegations made by one party against another. Those allegations have not been established as facts by a court. The available public record contains competing narratives, and some of the most dramatic claims remain independently unverified.
What is already beyond dispute is that a relationship that apparently began in Nigeria's music and social scene has evolved into litigation, public accusations and a battle over reputation.
It reportedly began with one woman
According to BlaqBonez's account, the roots of the dispute go back to 2023.
He said he and Odumodublvck met the woman at an event and that both men were attracted to her.
BlaqBonez subsequently became involved with her in what he described as a non-exclusive "friends with benefits" relationship lasting roughly a year.
That account has now been widely reported by Nigerian media, including Vanguard and TheCable, following his Nevon HQ interview.
BlaqBonez said that by the middle of 2024, the woman wanted the relationship to end because she believed it had no direction.
He initially resisted, according to his account, but eventually accepted the breakup.
The relationship, however, allegedly continued intermittently.
Eventually she moved to the United Kingdom and told BlaqBonez she was seeing someone else.
The rapper said the wording of her message made him suspicious.
He wanted to know who the new man was.
She apparently refused to say.
BlaqBonez said he did not initially suspect Odumodublvck because, according to his recollection, the woman had previously spoken about Odumodublvck in unflattering terms.
That assumption would soon collapse.
The August 2024 revelation
BlaqBonez said that in August 2024, after another cycle of their relationship ending and restarting, he finally blocked the woman because she stopped taking his calls.
Two days later, they unexpectedly met at a bar.
According to his account, the atmosphere eventually became calm enough for her to reveal the identity of the man she had been seeing.
It was Odumodublvck.
BlaqBonez said he accepted the situation and considered the matter finished.
But three days later, he allegedly learned from his videographer that Odumodublvck had booked him to shoot a diss track aimed at BlaqBonez.
That was the moment, according to BlaqBonez, that what he believed was a private romantic complication became a conflict between the two rappers.
He contacted Odumodublvck.
The response, he says, was hostile.
Odumodublvck allegedly told him not to call again.
Then came the questions.
According to BlaqBonez, Odumodublvck asked whether there was anything he wanted to say.
BlaqBonez said he did not understand the question and asked what their actual problem was.
The answer, according to his account, was:
"I heard you are disturbing my babe."
BlaqBonez said he explained that he had backed away after discovering the relationship between Odumodublvck and the woman.
But another call allegedly followed.
This time, BlaqBonez says, Odumodublvck asked when he and the woman had last been intimate.
BlaqBonez refused to answer.
According to his account, Odumodublvck then declared that they were enemies.
That was allegedly around August 2024.
November: The interrogation over their past
Months later, according to BlaqBonez, another conversation took place.
This time, the question was no longer simply whether he and the woman had been together.
It was how much had happened between them.
BlaqBonez said Odumodublvck asked how many times he and the woman had been intimate, reportedly giving ranges such as 10–15, 15–30 or 40 and above.
BlaqBonez answered "40 upwards."
The number quickly became one of the most viral details from the interview.
But beneath the internet jokes was a more consequential dispute: what exactly had happened between the woman and BlaqBonez, and when?
That question matters because the entire chronology of the feud increasingly became tied to competing accounts of their relationship.
Then came the three-way calls
BlaqBonez said the woman subsequently began calling him repeatedly, sometimes for only a few seconds, allegedly shouting that he was lying before hanging up.
He said he tried to avoid getting involved.
By November 25–26, 2024, according to his account, calls involving Odumodublvck and the woman had intensified.
Eventually, a friend of the woman allegedly persuaded BlaqBonez to join a three-way call to resolve the dispute.
The central question was simple:
What lie had he told?
According to BlaqBonez, the woman denied that they had ever been intimate.
That left him bewildered because he had described the relationship as "friends with benefits."
He said he even checked the meaning of the term.
But instead of continuing the argument, BlaqBonez said he agreed with her version simply because he wanted the conflict to end.
Then came another demand.
According to BlaqBonez, Odumodublvck asked him to provide evidence of the relationship.
And that is where the story took an extraordinary turn.
The demand for private evidence
BlaqBonez alleged that Odumodublvck told him, in effect, that because he had intimate images of the woman on his own phone, BlaqBonez must also possess evidence if their alleged relationship was real.
BlaqBonez said he did not keep such material on his phone because other people had access to his device.
He therefore searched his phone and found no intimate material.
He attempted to establish other evidence.
One of the disputed points was whether BlaqBonez and the woman had been together in Ghana in July 2024.
BlaqBonez said he had photographic evidence placing them there.
The woman disputed his version.
He then attempted to establish the trip through other records, including Snapchat material and travel information.
The dispute over Ghana has subsequently become important because a purported Air Peace ticket has circulated online.
One social-media account cited further checks of a 2023 Air Peace booking showing the woman's name on a Ghana return itinerary for July 12 and 14. But this is precisely the kind of evidence that requires authentication before it can establish anything about the nature of a relationship or even conclusively establish who travelled with whom.
A flight record, even if authentic, does not by itself prove sexual intimacy.
That distinction has largely disappeared in the social-media version of this story.
From relationship dispute to alleged campaign
BlaqBonez's account then becomes considerably more serious.
He alleged that Odumodublvck subsequently began sending insults, threats and what he described as repeated curses.
He said the messages allegedly continued for months, sometimes arriving early in the morning.
BlaqBonez characterised the behaviour as harassment and said he eventually realised that the conflict had moved beyond jealousy or a romantic disagreement.
According to him, it had become a campaign against his career.
One of the most serious allegations is that Odumodublvck contacted international media organisations and show promoters and attempted to have BlaqBonez blacklisted by portraying him as a rapist.
That allegation has not been independently established.
What is established is that Odumodublvck publicly accused BlaqBonez of sexual abuse in 2026 and has continued to stand by those allegations. Premium Times reported in June that Odumodublvck publicly made sexual-abuse allegations against BlaqBonez, while noting that the allegations were unverified.
BlaqBonez has denied the allegations and responded through his lawyers.
The police dimension
The story also contains allegations about law enforcement.
BlaqBonez told Rufai Oseni that, on one occasion, police officers allegedly arrived in a coaster bus and Hilux vehicles ahead of a scheduled performance.
He estimated that more than 20 officers were involved.
According to his account, he was not at home because he had gone for rehearsals.
He said the officers eventually revealed that they had come from Abuja and that their purpose was connected to preventing him from performing.
The claim has been reported by Nigerian media, although there is no publicly available independent police statement confirming BlaqBonez's version of the operation.
Later, BlaqBonez said he was invited by police and eventually detained overnight in connection with a cyberstalking petition.
He questioned why he was being treated as the aggressor when, in his account, he believed he had been subjected to years of harassment himself.
But here the opposing evidence becomes important.
The woman gives a radically different account
The woman at the centre of the controversy, publicly identified in Nigerian reports as Fejiro Onohwosa, subsequently issued her own account.
And it is dramatically different.
She alleged that after she attempted to end her relationship or friendship with BlaqBonez, he repeatedly contacted her and her friends.
She claimed he called her 32 times in one day and sent messages from different numbers.
She said she sent two cease-and-desist letters over approximately two years concerning what she described as threats, cyberstalking, blackmail and concerns about revenge porn.
She also said she eventually reported the matter to the police.
Her solicitors had previously petitioned the Nigeria Police Force over allegations involving cyberstalking, privacy violations and the alleged circulation of private material without consent.
Premium Times reported in 2025 that lawyers representing the woman had accused BlaqBonez of blackmail, cyberstalking, invasion of privacy and unlawful procurement and circulation of private indecent video material.
Those allegations are also allegations, not judicial findings.
BlaqBonez has denied wrongdoing.
The woman's account is therefore not merely a footnote to the Odumodublvck-BlaqBonez dispute. It introduces a completely different legal narrative in which she claims she herself was the victim.
Odumodublvck's case: "This is not a rap beef"
Odumodublvck has repeatedly rejected the suggestion that the dispute is simply competitive hip-hop theatre.
In November 2025, he publicly argued that the matter had been mischaracterised as a rap beef and said he became involved because he believed a woman had been mistreated.
His position became even more consequential in June 2026 when he publicly described BlaqBonez as a sexual abuser.
BlaqBonez's response was to move from social-media rebuttals to lawyers.
The ₦2.55 billion lawsuit
On July 7, 2026, lawyers representing BlaqBonez issued a legal letter demanding ₦2.55 billion over allegations they said were defamatory and damaging to his reputation and commercial interests.
The action reportedly includes claims relating to defamation, harassment, assault, battery and interference with his professional life.
The legal significance is enormous.
A social-media accusation is one thing.
An allegation repeated in court is another.
If the case proceeds, questions that have so far been debated through Instagram posts, X threads, podcasts and diss tracks can potentially become matters of evidence:
- What exactly happened between BlaqBonez and the woman?
- When did the relationship begin and end?
- Was it consensual?
- What communications exist between the parties?
- Were threats made?
- Were private images or videos circulated?
- Did either party attempt to interfere with the other's career?
- Were police resources improperly deployed?
- Were accusations made to promoters or broadcasters?
- Was there physical violence?
- What evidence exists for the sexual-abuse allegations?
These are questions that social media cannot answer conclusively.
The glasses incident
Another element of BlaqBonez's legal case concerns an alleged physical confrontation.
He claimed that at a boxing event in December 2024, Odumodublvck took his glasses and later pulled his neck chain.
That allegation has some relevance beyond the recent interview because Chocolate City subsequently included an alleged December 2024 confrontation at Landmark Beach in its broader allegations against Odumodublvck.
In December 2025, Chocolate City issued a statement accusing Odumodublvck of assaulting a label staff member at Rhythm Unplugged and described the glasses incident involving BlaqBonez as part of what it characterised as a broader pattern.
The label also alleged that Odumodublvck had sent more than 100 threatening messages during 2024–2025 and had attempted to interfere with BlaqBonez's professional relationships.
Again, these are allegations from Chocolate City, not findings of a court.
The feud became bigger than the two rappers
This is perhaps the most revealing part of the saga.
The conflict has increasingly absorbed the institutions surrounding the artists.
Chocolate City has entered the public fight.
Lawyers have entered it.
Police have entered it.
Show promoters have allegedly been contacted.
Industry executives have allegedly become targets.
And now journalists are being dragged into it.
That escalation is why the dispute is no longer properly described as an ordinary celebrity beef.
In December 2025, Chocolate City accused Odumodublvck of physically assaulting employee Feyi Ajayi backstage at Rhythm Unplugged, alleging that Ajayi was headbutted and subsequently hospitalised. The label said the incident was part of a wider pattern involving threats, alleged stalking and confrontations.
Odumodublvck has disputed the broader narrative surrounding the conflict.
Rufai Oseni's interview reopened everything
For months, the dispute had been dominated by fragments.
A tweet here.
A diss there.
An accusation.
A counter-accusation.
But BlaqBonez's interview with Rufai Oseni changed the information environment because he attempted to construct a chronological narrative.
Instead of merely calling Odumodublvck out, he tried to explain how the feud allegedly began.
That was the significance of the interview.
It provided the public with a version of events stretching back to 2023 and 2024 and connected the romantic dispute to the subsequent allegations.
Vanguard, TheCable and other Nigerian publications subsequently reported the central elements of his account.
But the interview also produced a new problem.
The opposing side had not been given the same platform.
Oseni attempted to fix that.
Odumodublvck refuses Rufai's invitation
On August 27, 2026, Oseni publicly invited Odumodublvck to appear and exercise what he described as his "right of reply."
Odumodublvck refused.
Instead, he attacked Oseni's journalism and objected to the journalist misspelling his stage name in the invitation.
He called Oseni a "terrible journalist" and said he would tell his story elsewhere. The response has been reported by Guardian, QED, TheCable and other Nigerian outlets.
The rapper subsequently posted that he was going to meet British broadcaster Piers Morgan, according to a social-media post captured by monitoring accounts.
Whether such an interview actually materialises is another matter.
But the message is clear: Odumodublvck does not accept BlaqBonez's version of events and does not believe Rufai Oseni's interview represented a fair interrogation of the allegations.
He has continued to maintain his sexual-abuse allegations and says the dispute is still heading to court.
The woman is now threatening court action too
The most overlooked development may ultimately be the most important.
The woman has not simply defended Odumodublvck.
She has positioned herself as an independent complainant.
She has accused BlaqBonez of harassment, cyberstalking, threats and privacy violations, and says she intends to pursue the matter legally.
That creates an unusual three-way legal conflict:
BlaqBonez says Odumodublvck defamed and harassed him.
Odumodublvck says he is defending a woman against sexual abuse.
The woman says BlaqBonez himself harassed and intimidated her.
Every side therefore disputes the fundamental premise advanced by another.
And that is precisely why the court matters.
What can actually be established?
After examining the available reporting, several elements are reasonably well documented:
1. The two rappers were once close
Their professional relationship was real. They collaborated musically and were part of the same Nigerian hip-hop ecosystem.
2. Their relationship subsequently collapsed
The feud eventually became public and increasingly personal.
3. BlaqBonez says a woman was at the centre of the original conflict
Multiple Nigerian publications have independently reported this part of his recent account.
4. Odumodublvck has publicly accused BlaqBonez of sexual abuse
That accusation is now part of the public record. Premium Times described the allegations as unverified.
5. BlaqBonez denies the accusation
He has responded not merely through social media but through a reported ₦2.55 billion legal action.
6. The woman has separately accused BlaqBonez
Her allegations include harassment, cyberstalking, threats and alleged non-consensual distribution of private material.
7. The dispute has produced allegations of physical confrontation and intimidation
Chocolate City has made several such allegations against Odumodublvck, including the December 2025 Rhythm Unplugged incident.
8. The dispute is now firmly in legal territory
That is perhaps the only sensible destination for allegations this serious.
The biggest unanswered questions
The public has spent months arguing over who is lying.
But the more useful investigative question is:
What evidence exists?
There are several categories of evidence that could fundamentally change the story.
Phone records
Call logs, iMessages, WhatsApp conversations, Snapchat records and deleted-message recovery could potentially establish chronology.
Travel records
Airline manifests, booking records, immigration information and hotel records could help establish whether the parties were together at particular times.
Financial records
Payments, transfers, hotel reservations and bookings could corroborate or undermine elements of either account.
Police documents
If officers were actually deployed to stop a performance, there should be operational documentation.
If BlaqBonez was detained on a cyberstalking petition, there should be a petition, detention record and investigation file.
Legal correspondence
The cease-and-desist letters and police petitions reportedly sent by the woman are potentially important because they establish that her complaints predated the current explosion of public attention.
Digital forensic evidence
If allegations involve private videos, screenshots or messages, the original devices and metadata are far more useful than screenshots circulated on social media.
Witnesses
People who were allegedly present at the bar meetings, boxing event, police encounters, concerts and other disputed incidents could potentially provide independent testimony.
The danger of turning serious allegations into entertainment
There is an uncomfortable irony at the centre of this saga.
Both men are rappers.
Their profession rewards exaggeration.
Rap beefs thrive on insults, hyperbole, humiliation and public performance.
But sexual-assault allegations, stalking claims, threats and alleged police interference belong to an entirely different category.
Once an allegation of rape or sexual abuse is made, it cannot responsibly be treated like a diss-track punchline.
Likewise, once someone publicly accuses another person of sexual abuse without a judicial finding, the accusation itself can have enormous reputational and commercial consequences.
That is precisely what the ₦2.55 billion lawsuit is now about.
BlaqBonez's lawyers argue that the accusations have damaged his reputation and career.
Odumodublvck, meanwhile, says he stands by his allegations.
The woman says she has her own evidence and intends to pursue BlaqBonez.
There is therefore no responsible journalistic basis for declaring either man guilty or innocent based solely on interviews, social-media posts or fan interpretations.
A feud that began privately is now an evidence war
Perhaps the strangest thing about the BlaqBonez-Odumodublvck saga is how far it has travelled.
It allegedly began with two men being interested in the same woman.
It became a dispute over who had been intimate with her.
Then came questions about when, where and how often.
Then came alleged insults and threats.
Then came accusations of sexual abuse.
Then came allegations of cyberstalking.
Then police became involved.
Then lawyers.
Then a ₦2.55 billion lawsuit.
Then Chocolate City entered the battle.
Now journalists are being attacked for how they cover it.
And Odumodublvck says he wants to tell his story to Piers Morgan rather than Rufai Oseni.
At some point, however, another interview will not resolve this.
Neither will another diss track.
Neither will another X Space.
The next meaningful chapter is evidence.
If BlaqBonez is wrong, the evidence should establish it.
If Odumodublvck's allegations are substantiated, that evidence should also emerge.
If the woman has been wrongly accused or harassed, her documentary evidence should matter.
And if there were unlawful attempts to interfere with anyone's career, performances or freedom, those actions should be investigated independently.
The public has already heard enough competing stories.
What remains is for the people making the allegations to prove them.
Until then, the BlaqBonez-Odumodublvck saga should be understood not as a settled story of villain and victim, but as an increasingly complex dispute involving three competing accounts, serious criminal allegations, disputed evidence and an active legal battle.
And that makes the courtroom — rather than the timeline — the place where the most consequential questions may finally be answered.
